Good friends are important for success, and not-so-good friends are often contributing factors in failure; therefore, we need to be selective about who we allow to speak into our lives.
Good friends will encourage, offer wisdom, check the path you’ve chosen, and watch your blind spots. The most successful people often aren’t the smartest or most talented; instead, they’re the ones who had a good vision of what they wanted the future to look like, selected friends who shared that vision, and allowed those friends to be honest and open about their decisions and actions – whether or not what they were doing was actually leading them toward their vision.
My Girls, your great-grandmother, Willie Mae Hardy, always said, “Birds of a feather flock together.” Therefore, I Hope and Pray that you will only follow the advice and cling to those who share your philosophy on life and your vision for success.
