THE SHORT VERSION
Like the Disciples, we all experience fear, and we often physically, mentally, emotionally, and/or spiritually lock the doors of our lives (the Disciples’ fear was justified… the Jews had just killed Jesus), BUT JESUS passes through our locked doors and brings Peace to those who will Believe that He has overcome the world and all the stuff it can throw at us (John 16:34).
THE REST OF THE STORY
We might fear because of shock that something didn’t work out the way we thought it would, or maybe we’re just confused about Life’s situations… so, out of fear, we lock the doors, BUT JESUS passes right through them and brings Peace. We fear because we think Jesus is dead or we can’t see Him in our situation, so we circle the metaphorical wagons and try to deal with it ourselves, BUT JESUS wasn’t dead then and isn’t dead today. He has defeated Death (Revelation 1:17-18). He has overcome anything this world can throw at us; therefore, we can have His Peace today (John 16:34).
LIFE APPLICATION
My Friends, rest easy with Jesus’ Peace, knowing in Faith that He who is with you today (Matthew 28-18-20) is greater than those who are against you (2nd Kings 6:16)… So be free from fear and go Live Love Today.
