“Patience is not simply the ability to wait – It’s how we behave while we’re waiting.” – Joyce Meyer
Patience is the very first thing that God tells us His Love looks like (1st Corinthians 13:4-5). Patience isn’t just the ability to endure a person or wait in a season of life. It’s the behavior that comes from understanding, accepting, and reflecting God’s Love in your life. When it comes to patience with people you need to be humble and remember from where God Rescued you (and continues to Rescue you daily), so the He can be Compassionate to them through you. When it comes to patience with seasons of life, you need to be humble and remember that You have a Father in Heaven who Loves you and is working in you – turning you into a masterpiece that looks like Jesus (2nd Corinthians 3:18 & Ephesians 2:10), and this process is for your good.
My Girls, patience for seasons in life can make you anxious, and patience with people can make you frustrated and even angry, but IF you will continually submit yourself to God, trusting that He Loves you and those around you, then you will find the Grace to be Jesus’ Hands, Feet, and Mouth, even in trying times.
