Weakness of Attitude Becomes Weakness of Character - Albert Einstein

Character Comes From Attitude

9/12/18

Brandy, Addy, and Grace,

“Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character.” – Albert Einstein

Our attitude is the lens through which we see the world – everything around us is received through our senses, goes through our mind for processing and classification, is sent to our hearts for judgment, and then it goes back to our minds to reinforce or adjust our attitude (what we think about the world). What we think about the world sets our expectations for the people and situations that surround us. If we have “stinkin’ thinkin'” in our head, our expectations are going to be negative, and we will act accordingly, and what we do shapes our character, which is who we are in this world.

Now our character, contrary to popular belief, can change, and that change begins with our attitudes, which is transformed in our minds (how we think) and our hearts (how we judge).

My Girls, I Hope and Pray that you will continually check your attitude for “stinkin’ thinkin’,” killing it quickly, before it ruins your day… your week… your month… your year… your life.

Challenge Question: What attitude adjustments do you need to make TODAY?

God’s Word: Philippians 2:5-8 & 4:4-9 and Matthew 11:28-30
