“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” – Chuck Swindoll
Life’s lemons will come my way from time to time, and I’ll have to make a choice: cut it, eat it, and allow the sourness to affect my reaction, or I could choose to get some sugar and water and make something that’s refreshing and enjoyable.
My Girls, I know it can be hard to react to the stuff this world throws at you with Compassion (sugar) and Love (water), but that’s what Jesus did (except with the pride-filled self-righteous folks). Now there’s a question you’re going to have to answer multiple times per day, “Am I going to reflect whatever garbage this life throws at me, or am I going to reflect the Image of Jesus?”
I wish I reflected Jesus more, but when I don’t, I try to realize the effect of my not-Jesus reaction and fix things with God through Repentance and those I hurt with an apology and doing whatever needs to be done to right the wrong.
Challenge Question: What reaction opportunities do you see ahead of you TODAY?
God’ Word: 1st Peter 2:23-25, Luke 6:27-36, and John 13:33-34
