“Effort and courage are not enough without purpose and direction.” – John F. Kennedy
I believe JFK’s statement works forward or backward today.
In some parts of society, I see great efforts being made for change (from both sides of many issues) and in these, there is no lack of courage to stand for what they believe, but both sides of these extremes are shrouded in darkness, lacking the foundation (the purpose and direction) of honor, respect, and love. And somewhere between these extremes exists a generation with both purpose and direction, yet they seem to either lack the motivation or courage to stand against those who divide in hatred. Instead, they allow apathy or laziness to silence the Truth given to them (on both sides of the issues) and in doing so have become the unwitting slaves to the noise of the darkness.
My Girls, I Hope & Pray that you will always see the Light that God places before you, because His Love is both your purpose and direction, and regardless of your situation in life or stance on an issue, it’s in His Calling that you should invest your effort and courage until you breathe your last.
Challenge Question: For what good will your effort and courage be directed TODAY?
God’s Word: 1st Corinthians 9:24-27 & 13:1-13, Joshua 1:6-9 & 11:15, and Daniel 6:7-10
The rally starters seem to hide in the dark. I agree that on both sides they need to be continuously called out, and not just on one sided news stations.
